2026 Acura ZDX Specs, Review, Performance – The 500-horsepower Type S version of the 325-mile Acura ZDX A-Spec will go on sale the following year. The Acura ZDX will return. The company’s most powerful SUV and first all-electric car will use the brand again in the first few months of the next year. Meet the 500-horsepower Acura ZDX Type S and the 2026 Acura ZDX A-Spec.
Four years after its 2009 launch, Acura’s first-generation ZDX crossover coupe was discontinued due to low sales. Given that practically every manufacturer now has coupeovers in their portfolio, the ZDX may have been a bit before of its time.
During Monterey Car Week 2022, Honda’s luxury and performance division unveiled the Acura Precision EV Concept, giving us our first look at the ZDX’s comeback. Today, around a year later, the carmaker returns to Monterey to unveil the ZDX EV, which is ready for production.
The ZDX maintains its conventional, upright SUV appearance for its second lease on life. Its bumper-to-bumper footprint of 197.7 inches is comparable to that of the Honda Pilot SUV and the Acura MDX.
The SUV’s lower 64.4-inch roof and 121.8-inch wheelbase, which is around 10 inches longer than those of its combustion engine-powered siblings, give the impression that it is even more grounded. This allows the SUV to pay homage to the original ZDX’s low-slung design. 2026 Acura ZDX Specs
2026 Acura ZDX Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior & Interior
Because of its Android-based operating system, which incorporates Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store as the main infotainment software, the ZDX will be the first Acura to feature Google Built-In software on the dashboard.
This software will power the EV’s 11-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.3-inch main touchscreen. Furthermore, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide easy access to the internet.
The ZDX’s cabin will now have a new high-end audio system thanks to a recently announced cooperation with Bang & Olufsen. The Danish premium audio company’s acoustic lens technology and brushed metal grilles are included into the design.
As part of its AcuraWatch 360 driving assistance package, the ZDX is also the first Acura car to include the new Hands Free Cruise and Automatic Parking Assist features.
The latter technology enables hands-off highway driving assistance on about 400,000 kilometers of approved highways, as promised. That figure, together with the previously disclosed Ultium technology sharing deal, indicates that the most recent iteration of GM’s superb Super Cruise system is powered by the same hands-free, eyes-on technology. If so, it probably also has the ability to trailer and change lanes autonomously.

Engine & Performance
As part of the co-development arrangement, General Motors’ Ultium battery and electrification technology platform was used to build the all-electric ZDX and Honda’s future Prologue.
The ZDX A-Spec, which includes a 340-horsepower electric motor on its back axle, is the lowest specification upon launch. According to EPA estimations, the A-Spec can go 325 miles between charges because to its 102-kilowatt-hour Ultium battery pack.
A dual-motor system is an additional option that offers better traction but a shorter 315-mile range. Additionally, Acura states that all ZDX models have a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds; however, range would probably be impacted if this limit were reached.
The SUV has 20-inch wheels with 265/50R20 all-season tires and a fixed-coil suspension with reactive dampers. The ZDX has an interesting reversing arrangement since its 12.6-inch front brakes are smaller than the typical 13.5-inch rear stoppers. It’s probably made feasible by the EV’s strong regenerative braking system. 2026 Acura ZDX Specs
2026 Acura ZDX Fuel Economy
In only ten minutes, all ZDX models will be able to get a 190-kilowatt DC charge, which is sufficient to provide an 81-mile range. Using an Acura smartphone app, drivers will be able to locate stations on the majority of DC fast charging networks across the country and pay for charging sessions.
The ZDX will ultimately have direct access to the previously revealed high-speed charging network, which is a collaborative venture between seven manufacturers. By 2026, it is anticipated to begin operations in the US and Canada, and by 2030, it will have 30,000 charging stations.
Acura’s Acura Home Electrification service, which will pair clients with pre-screened local installers to install home charging for their new EV, is being introduced with the ZDX. 2026 Acura ZDX Specs
