2026 Polestar 2 Review, Specs, Dimensions – It is an affordable four-door all-electric car that blends style and technology. A single-motor electric Polestar 2 will be on the market in 2026. This one has a great look and is packed with technology, much like the dual-motor 2. Despite maybe lacking the same performance punch, the 2026 Polestar 2’s main strength is its exceptional pricing. 2026 Polestar 2 Review

Exterior & Interior
The 2026 Polestar 2’s WeaveTech vegan technology is part of the Plus package. Even if many Roadshow editors love this garment and value its simple design, it feels and looks like I’m sitting inside a neoprene dive suit. Or maybe I’m wearing a double-knit polyester housedress. I like to dress casually, although it is a question of personal preference.
The inside of the 2 has its share of issues, regardless of the upholstery. While one cup holder is hidden in the little center console, the other is visible. Furthermore, there isn’t much space for keeping smaller items. Thankfully, the seat heaters function rather well, and the Plus option adds heated rear seats as well. Function and versatility are added by the Polestar’s liftback design, which also features a decent pass-through from the rear bench to the trunk.
Although the 2026 Polestar 2 only has one motor, it is nonetheless an enjoyable automobile to drive. With all that electric torque, it seems far faster than the 7 seconds Polestar claims it takes to get from 0 to 60 miles per hour. This isn’t a corner carver, even with my standard vehicle’s 19-inch wheels and all-season tires. For more fun, purchase the $5,000 Performance Pack. 20-inch wheels, summer tires, Brembo front brakes, Öhlins springs, and, of course, gold seat belts are all included.
The Googleverse is successfully integrated into the car thanks to Polestar’s Android Automotive operating system, which controls cabin technologies. This system provides access to all of my favorite Google apps; however, Apple CarPlay is not currently enabled, but it will be soon. You may now utilize Google Assistant and Maps, as well as download new applications from the Google Play Store. Everything works fast with voice control when you use your typical “OK, Google” command.
Using Google Maps for in-car navigation is great. It can advise me on where to refuel along the road and tell me how far I can go. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster puts the map right in front of me, and its bright, clear display makes it easy to read while driving. The primary touchscreen hides things like climate settings, though, so those who rely heavily on physical knobs and buttons should be mindful of this. 2026 Polestar 2 Review
2026 Polestar 2 Specs
Engine & Performance
Fueled by the same 78-kilowatt-hour battery pack as its dual-motor sibling, the 2026 Polestar 2’s single motor provides the four-door’s front wheels with 231 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. The EPA estimates that the 270-mile range of the single-motor 2 is equivalent to the 272-mile range of the rear-wheel-drive system. Up to 150 kW of DC fast charging may be used with the 2026 Polestar 2, allowing for an 80% charge in around 40 minutes. My Level 2 home charger increased from 38% to 90% in a little more than four hours.
Instead of using a start button, the 2026 Polestar 2 requires you to apply the brake, choose Drive or Reverse, and then drive away. When you’re done, get out and leave. It may seem a bit unnerving, but this is a common feature of modern electric vehicles. Because you can’t leave the car running while you go outside to grab anything, it also saves electricity.
Despite not having any driving modes, the 2026 Polestar 2 does have a menu on the middle 11-inch screen that allows you to personalize a number of riding features. Steering weight, brake regeneration force, and idle creep may all be changed. Personally, I want the heaviest steering, maximum regen, and creep off. I can successfully drive with just one pedal since the brake regeneration will bring me to a complete halt. It’s fun to go downhill and to see the miles added back to my expected range.
2026 Polestar 2 Safety Features
Additional options are available with the Pilot and Plus packages, which cost $3,200 and $4,000, respectively. Pilot offers you adaptive cruise control with blind-spot detection and lane-keeping, among other driver-assistance functions. In addition, the Plus pack features a glass roof, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a wireless charging station. 2026 Polestar 2 Review
2026 Polestar 2 Release Date & Price
The 2026 Polestar 2 Single Motor has a starting price of $47,200, which includes a $1,300 destination fee. I would like to purchase the Pilot bundle and be done with it in order to access all of the previously mentioned driver-assistance features. Therefore, my optimum as-tested pricing would be $50,400. That is a reasonable price for a high-end electric car. Putting aside little grievances, it’s hard to argue against that type of value in a car this excellent.
