The production-intent pickup still makes a lot of aggressive, class-leading claims about its range and towing capacity, despite the fact that it has toned down the design and removed some of the more striking features, such as the full-length cargo pass-through that I was really looking forward to in the concept.
Naturally, Ram’s first electric vehicle runs on batteries and will initially be available in two different models. An optional 229-kWh big battery increases the predicted range to 500 miles, while the basic 168-kWh pack is expected to provide a cruising range of up to 350 miles. It is comparable to other electric pickups of a comparable size, although being less efficient than the current generation of smaller electric SUVs. However, the 303-mile Rivian R1T now has a 135-kWh version (EPA 2.1 mi/kWh), while the 131-kWh battery in the Ford Lightning Extended Range is good for about 320 miles (2.1 mi/kWh).
Naturally, the Ram wants to outdo the longest-range vehicle by one mile, or more precisely, by more than 150 miles, with an extra 100 kWh on board.
Filling such large reserves without taking all day requires a dependable charging technique. Up to 350 kW of 800-volt DC quick charging is compatible with the 1500 REV. (Of course, the Ram is at least somewhat future-proof, but finding real 800V/350kW chargers in the US is still a bit of a challenge.) In ten minutes, the car should be able to use up to 110 miles of power. However, charging at home is likely to take at least overnight due to slower Level 2 energy.
During its first year of production, the 2026 Ram 1500 REV will be available in five trim levels, with the new Tungsten variant at the top. A 23-speaker Klipsch audio system with state-of-the-art rear-seat center channel drivers built into the front seat backs is part of the luxurious interior of the 1500 REV Tungsten.
Ram’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch vertical center screen, and the company’s first 10.25-inch passenger screen, will be used by front-row passengers.

Ram also hinted to an even longer-range Ram 1500 REV XR during the presentation, but it didn’t explain how it planned to accomplish this “class-shattering range.” The XR is likely to have a 2WD standard that increases use more than capacity because a car this tiny probably doesn’t have much spare bulk money for a larger battery.
The 1500 REV has a maximum power output of 654 horsepower and 654 pound-feet of torque, and it takes 4.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers hour. Ram is a prime example of the STLA Large body-on-frame chassis’s exceptional carrying capacity, which includes the ability to haul a payload of 2,700 pounds and tow up to 14,000 pounds. Ram doesn’t specify if a certain package or piece of towing gear is necessary.
The business also provides 15 cubic feet of underhood storage, which is situated beneath the motorized hood—where the engine would typically be in a pickup—and Ram Box bedside storage bins for extra use.
