The 2027 Ram 1500 REV will be available in five trim levels during its first year of production, with the new Tungsten variant at the top of the range.

A 23-speaker Klipsch audio system with sophisticated rear-seat center channel drivers integrated into the front seat backs is part of the luxurious interior of the 1500 REV Tungsten.

Ram’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch vertical center screen, and the company’s first 10.25-inch passenger screen, will be used by front-row passengers. Naturally, Ram’s first electric vehicle runs on batteries and will come in two different models at first. The base 168-kWh pack is anticipated to provide up to 350 miles of cruising range, while an optional 229-kWh big battery increases the predicted range to 500 miles. In the simplest calculations, that is equivalent to around 2.2 miles per kilowatt-hour without backup power.

During the unveiling, Ram also hinted to an even longer-range Ram 1500 REV XR, although it did not elaborate on how it planned to accomplish this “class-shattering range.” Since a car of this size is unlikely to have much more bulk money for a larger battery, I think the XR will feature a 2WD option that increases consumption rather than capacity.

The 1500 REV has a maximum power output of 654 horsepower and 654 pound-feet of torque, and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 4.4 seconds.

Ram is a great example of the astounding carrying capacity of the STLA Large body-on-frame chassis, which has the capacity to pull up to 14,000 pounds and transport a payload of 2,700 pounds. Ram makes no mention of whether a specific package or piece of towing gear is necessary.

For extra convenience, the manufacturer also fitted Ram Box bedside storage bins and 15 cubic feet of underhood storage beneath the powered hood, which is typically where the engine would be in a pickup-shaped vehicle.

A steady charging process is necessary to fill such massive reserves without taking all day. Up to 350 kW of 800-volt DC rapid charging is supported by the 1500 REV. (Of course, the Ram is comparatively future-proof, but it’s still hard to find real 800V/350kW chargers in the US.)

The car should be able to go up to 110 kilometers on electricity in a 10-minute session. Nevertheless, it will probably take at least one night to charge at home using slower Level 2 energy.
