2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date: Palisade Always Looked Good

2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date: Palisade Always Looked Good – When introduced again for 2020 design year, this Hyundai Palisade quickly established itself as the company’s premier SUV. This three-row family vehicle is accommodating, capable, and full of nice extras. Even though it’s rock solid, it could be better in a few places. The idea behind Palisade’s semi update is that it only takes a few minor changes to improve an already great vehicle.

Exterior Design

The Palisade has always been attractive, but I believe the renovations planned for 2024 will take it to a whole new level. I appreciate how the grille up front is more pronounced, and perhaps even threatening, with improved integration of the daytime running lights. The designers at Hyundai gave it a little bit extra front overhang to make it look better from the side, although it’s hard to tell. Overhang is reduced in the trunk and a skid plate is added to the bumper’s lower half, but otherwise the design remains unchanged. The exterior upgrade is complete with new auto-dimming side mirrors.

More work is done on the inside of the Palisade. A full width trim element now connects the vents to give the newly redesigned instrument panel the impression of being wider. Even the steering wheel has been spruced up to look newer. The controls and many of the large storage compartments remain in the enormous center console. The third row, with its raised floor, is still a bit cramped for adults but offers ample legroom for children. Rear passengers also have access to the Palisade’s many convenient features, including a multitude of USB connections and storage bins.

The most noteworthy aspect of the Palisade’s makeover is not its improved aesthetics. Rather, it’s the car company’s inclusion of the latest and greatest in technology and comfort features. The 2024 Palisade gains a digital rearview mirror, heated but also massaging front seats, USB Type-C connections galore, quicker wireless device recharging, as well as a LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that operates on the Verizon network.

A 12.4″ multimedia screen is standard across the lineup, and both Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto are supported through wired connections. Furthermore, Hyundai has enhanced its phone-as-a-key technology so that it works with both Apple and Samsung devices. The infotainment system is still simple and quick to respond thanks to the same core technology.

There is also plenty of security-related technology available. All Palisade models feature full-speed cruise control featuring stop-and-go functionality, lane keeping, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, as well as front collision warning. Each Palisade comes standard with Highway Driving Assist, a technology that integrates a number of these features to make long trips on the freeway more bearable. If you’re already using Highway Driving Assist, you can take it to the next level with HDA II, which adds lane-change assistance and the ability to move lanes automatically if traffic on either side becomes too dense.

The premium tester I drove had upgraded sound deadening materials, making the cabin a touch quieter than before, and the soft Nappa leather seats ensured a pleasant ride for the long haul. Even with people standing in my line of sight, I had excellent visibility thanks to the digital rearview mirror. 2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date

2024 Hyundai Palisade Review

The ride is mildly cushioned, but not excessively so. What I like about the suspension is uniform across all of the different trim levels, so whether you go with the entry-level SE or the top-tier Calligraphy, you’ll get the same level of comfort regardless of which one you choose. You can fit more people and things in the SUV without sacrificing ride comfort. 2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date

While I had the Palisade, Hyundai took me on an off-road course to demonstrate how well the updated SUV, when equipped with all-wheel drive, handles slippery surfaces like dirt and mud. The basic all-season tires just on Palisade aren’t built for the rough stuff, but the vehicle’s locking center differential makes short work of huge, mud ruts. 2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date

This suspension is so well-tuned that I felt very little discomfort even throughout the off-road evaluation, which included driving over some really uneven pavement. Although its approach as well as departure angles aren’t the best in its class, I had no trouble taking my Palisade off-road without even denting the bumpers on a couple of particularly steep drops, so I have no doubt that its purchasers will have no trouble getting it where they want to go.

2024 Hyundai Palisade Engine

The 2024 Palisade retains the same engine as the current model year: a 3.8L V6 developing 292 hp as well as 263 lb-ft of torque, driving either the front wheels or all four via an 8 speed automated gearbox. It works quite fine, delivering adequate energy for just a three-row SUV while also producing an acceptable exhaust tone that never becomes intrusive inside the vehicle. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the stop-start feature is quiet and hassle-free. It’s a joy to drive around town, and it doesn’t feel overly big or cumbersome, even on narrow city streets.

2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price

Different trim levels and price ranges are available for the 2024 Palisade. Price tags for the Palisade range from $36,246 (again for base SE model, plus destination charge of $1,296) to $41,546 for such new looking XRT. Prices range from $47,796 for the second-to-last Limited to $50,196 again for top-tier Calligraphy. Keep in mind that those are only the costs for the front-wheel-drive versions; adding all-wheel drive will cost an additional $1,901 for any of the trim levels.

When compared to other mid-cycle updates, new 2024 Hyundai Palisade is probably on the light to medium side. This is because Hyundai didn’t feel it was necessary to make any major changes. Aesthetically, it has undergone a few tweaks to keep things fresh, and technologically and in terms of creature comforts, it has received a hefty dose of upgrades to stay up with rivals such as the Toyota Highlander as well as the Ford Explorer. It’s an improvement on an already excellent family car.
