2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Colors – Charging Speeds Have Been Improved

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Colors – Charging Speeds Have Been Improved – In terms of performance and features, this 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV is mostly unchanged. However, when paired with a lower starting price of roughly $5,500 compared to last year’s model, the tiny Bolt starts to look like the real bargain.

Most noticeable is the revised front fascia of the 2023 Bolt EV. The large eyes of the Bolt have been replaced by narrow LED trademark lights. In the meantime, the foglights’ place has been taken over by the genuine LED headlamps. With its flip-flop headlight design, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is also capable of providing ample illumination at night while maintaining a sleek appearance during the day.

There is an aggressive slash of high gloss trim connecting the two light clusters, which frames the grille of the Bolt. Rear-end design changes include slimmer taillights and a simpler oval contour to better mix with the hatchback’s back glass. It also features a slimmer reflector bar, a relocated single reverse light, and a wider strip of black plastic that visually raises the rear end. 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Colors

The cabin has undergone perhaps even more significant alterations. The revised center console in the 2023 Bolt is more seamlessly integrated with dash than that of the previous floaty design. One-pedal driving mode is activated by pressing a special button on the shift lever. With the new shifter, the cupholders are now considerably more accessible.

More luxurious materials are used throughout the cabin. It’s a shame to see the wild, high-contrast white motif leave, but the new appearance is much less irritating and is likely to appeal to a wider range of drivers. 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Colors

Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system is now housed on a 10.8-inch touchscreen in the vehicle’s center console. Because it relies less on Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay, however, both phone connection suites are still available and can then be connected wirelessly, this interface is significantly easier to use than the old, Bolt-specific configuration.

Chevrolet’s profile page system is included in the vehicle’s interior technology. Chevrolet Bolt’s 4G LTE connectivity is used to power the Chevy Infotainment 3 system, which also contains a variety of EV-specific features. Features such as energy impact monitoring, charging schedule management, and charge level limitation are all part of this package.

The EPA estimates that the Bolt can travel 259 miles on a single charge. Although the 65-kilowatt-hour battery has shrunk marginally, the range estimation has remained the same (a 1-kWh reduction). Though it’s still enough to beat off Hyundai, Kia, and Nissan, the Model 3’s range continues to lag. 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Colors

With this year’s update up to 11.5-kW Level 2 charging, home charging could be faster, but you’ll need to ensure that your home can accommodate the additional power plus install a 48-amp plug charging station to take full advantage of it. Unless you plug a dual charging cord directly into the NEMA 14-50 outlet, charging takes about 10 hours instead of the estimated 7 hours. There are trickle chargers available that work with any conventional 110-volt wall socket, but the additional range they provide is just about 4 miles per hour.

I was a little surprised to discover that the Bolt’s DC fast charging is limited to a maximum of 55 kW, having become accustomed to more premium EVs. That means it takes around an hour to acquire a full charge from a rapid charge station. Even so, the Bolt’s pricing and range between charges make this a non-issue, so at the very best, the DC charger is now a basic feature, so you’re not spending extra to get it.

It took me a week and a total of 201.9 miles to achieve an overall MPGe of 124.2, which was slightly higher than that of the EPA’s prediction of 128 mpge. It’s also worth noting that I didn’t hyper mile or use the accelerator like that of an eggshell. Even after spending a whole afternoon on the hills trying the Bolt’s Sport mode, I still had higher efficiency for the week.

The Bolt has a variety of driving modes, including Sport mode. There are two modes: Normal and Sport, which alter the sensitivity of the accelerator for a more dynamic driving experience. On the other hand, the Bolt has 200 horses as well as 266 pound-foot of immediate electric torque, so it performs well in either mode.

Standard on all 2023 Bolts is features like a rearview camera, forward pre-collision warnings with pedestrian detection, lane departure warnings, and automatic high beams. These are all options. You get a pre-collision warning system when you upgrade to the 2LT model, as well as blind-spot monitoring. It’s unfortunate that the Bolt EV doesn’t include GM’s hands-free Hyperspace highway driving help. A newer and bigger 2023 Bolt EUV will be required.

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Price and Release Date

The cheaper pricing of a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV is, however, its most noteworthy new feature. For $31,995 (along with a $995 delivery charge well before any EV tax credits), the Bolt is the cheapest long-range electric vehicle in its class, $5,500 less expensive than last year. All other electric vehicles are more expensive, and you’ll only get around 100 more miles per gallon either in 40-kWh Nissan Leaf or the SE Mini Cooper. Compared to other current members of a 250-mile electric small club, this 2LT specification including quality audio ($595) and indeed the adaptive cruise update ($375) does have a pre-incentive list price of $36,165.
