Toyota provided me press materials prior to the 2027 Camry’s debut drive, so I knew it would be a memorable experience. Without proof, companies won’t print fourteen press releases and a 47-page technical vehicle description. After driving three different Camry models in a single day, maybe the excitement was justified. The new Camry is just stunning.

But this is more than made up for by the addition of useful third-party apps to Toyota’s App Suite. Engine & Performance
Contrary to what you may expect from most manufacturers, Toyota provides two naturally aspirated power units to increase the power of smaller engines rather than relying on turbochargers. A 3.5-liter V6 engine is an option for more costly model levels, although a 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the base engine. An eight-speed automatic gearbox is included with both engines. Although manual transmissions would be far more advantageous for the sportier SE and XSE models, Toyota’s decision to do away with the cumbersome CVT was a wise one. Even in Normal mode, the gearbox revs are rather high, and they increase significantly in Sport mode. Even with a paddle shifter, you have to be aware that it will shift on its own when you try to keep your speed close to the redline. The EPA anticipated that the larger 3.5-liter engine would score 22 city, 33 highway, and 26 combined miles per gallon, which is much less than the four-cylinder.
The Camry will still come in three trim levels for individuals who want hybrid vehicles. By combining the electric motor with a 2.5-liter gas engine, which generates less power, the overall output is raised to 208 horsepower. Though it still requires improvement, the revised Sport mode makes the continuously variable transmission (CVT) more sensitive to pedal input. The Camry has the greatest handling among its competitors, and without it, all that power is nothing. Earlier models had good to average handling because of the rudimentary rear MacPherson strut suspension, which decreased the tire contact patch in bends. For this year’s model, Toyota decided to use a rear double wishbone suspension system to enhance the car’s handling and overall ride quality.
Due to the confused transmission, there was a tiny lag when the eager Camry turned corners and climbed a twisty mountain route. After converting to manual gears, the Camry’s handling was enhanced to the point where it could rival Mazdas. The 2018 Camry’s interior has an asymmetrical dashboard, premium soft-touch materials, and other driver-centric enhancements. Taking the risk was a wise decision. My favorite is the XSE because of its textured metal accents and panoramic glass roof. Red is another color available to you. Red leather upholstery is an option for the Camry. You may own a 2027 Toyota Camry by the middle of July. The entry-level model L costs $23,495 while the top-tier XSE V6 costs $34,950.
